Christmas is indeed coming. For whoever reads my little blog I apologize about the lack of posts - I have been picking up substitute teaching jobs like crazy because the pay period ends at the end of the month - and 2 weeks were missed because of Fall Break. Anyways, still chugging along selling on eBay and Amazon.
Rant time: a buyer in Australia left a negative on Amazon WITHOUT contacting me because they haven't received a $2 CD 3 weeks from purchase. If they had contacted me I would have just refunded - who knows what happens on transatlantic deliveries? And eBay sent another email saying I have 30 days to bump up my DSR's because one category has 1% of less than 3 star ratings. They say they will downgrade my store - which is scary enough but I am terrified of being booted off the bay. I have done NOTHING wrong but I have heard horror stories - it really does seem like eBay wants to be dominated by Mega-Sellers and nothing else.
Christmas is coming and I am desperate to find the time to post some big items I have been sitting on - see if I can get some Christmas Bonus cash flowing! Good luck to all sellers!

Polka Polka Polka!
Another good one from my recent thrift store buys - an obscure Polka (yes Polka!) record that sold for $22. As usual it was 99 cents - I think this one was from Goodwill but it could have been a Nashville indie thrift store. Hard to know what to price an item at when you have the only one on eBay - I had this at $24.99 and since I am running a sale right now someone picked it up for $21.49 - might have left some money on the table but I am happy with 20 times my purchase price in just 2 or 3 weeks time. Really hoping sales pick up some steam as we get into the holiday season!

2000 feedback reached...not very excited
Over the weekend I got to the 2000 mark in positive feedback (currently I am at 99.5% for the year). It is not nearly as exciting as reaching 1000, but also for another reason. Recently I got an email from ebay that I wasn't performing well on the "detailed seller ratings" because I was over 1% (yes one percent) of less than 5 stars on one category. This is ridiculous. The email said it could jeopardize my store standing and such. I have just heard too many horror stories of ebay shutting someone down for no reason. I don't get complaints, I don't rip anyone off, just good selling practices and happy customers. Just something that weighs heavy on the mind...
Anyways - the picture is just another album from my recent thrift store spree - sold this one for $12 (it was 99 cents) - have sold a few others in the $7-10 range, so definitely making my money back. The adventure continues!

Another Goodwill score!
In the past 3 weeks or so I spent about $50+ at various thrift stores. Luckily today at least I broke even. Got an offer for the record you see here called "Count Your Many Blessings" by The Four Internes (no I am not spelling that wrong). A guy in The Netherlands offered me $50 plus shipping and I took it. The only other one I could find sold this year for $96, but a bird in the hand is worth ten in the bush to me. A good find and a good score! You may ask how I knew to buy this - well I didn't really, just an obscure group on an obscure label that seemed out of the ordinary so I took a chance. Got lucky on this one - lets hope some of the ~49 or so others bring some good money as well.
